What?
This project is an interdisciplinary, participatory process that will involve a series of workshops that will train 8 participants in DJ skills, composition and music notation. Throughout this workshop process, the participants will help compose music tailored to their individual strengths through sound and graphic scores. This will be the first instance of a work written for multiple turntablists with multiple live instrumentalists.
Who?

Mariam Rezaei will lead the project and workshops with support from David Mustarde (DJ Sole 1) and Anton Lukoszevieze (Apartment House). All artists will discuss their traditional backgrounds, relate examples of their current experimental works and how this personal development can inform the project.
Aims
To work with a diverse, young participant group that have little or no experience with DJing.
To give opportunities to young people under the age of 18 years who have no access to equipment but are enthusiastic.
To engage participants who feel marginalised, cut off from a community group and that are looking to find their own cultural identity through art and music.
How?
Young people will be the driving force behind the project, not only creating music to culminate in an hour long performance but individually contributing to the creation of the score of the work and collectively, naming the project, leaving a lasting legacy.
