Project Overview

Time Travel Northumberland

Project Info

Project Info
Time Travel Northumberland is a project for young people living in Northumberland. They become time travellers as they go on a virtual  journey to the past, present and future of Northumberland.

They are working on a number of digital film projects across Northumberland and planning a Big Brother style event exploring what it would be like to have lived in the past.

The young time travellers will bring the ancient Morpeth Olympics back to life in 2012 so get ready for vintage sports and competitions across Northumberland.

What have the Time Travellers been up to?
The team have been busy planning ways for young people to make the archives and the history of Northumberland more relevant to young people.

What next for the Time Travellers?
Young people from Silx bar take over Woodhorn.

Press for the Time Travellers

There was lots of press coverage for the Time Travel Northumberland projects week long programme at Featherstone Castle. Their programme threw young people into a life without modern technology and learning to cook, clean and entertain for themselves with brilliant results.
